LOVING LIKE CHRIST JESUS DID
As followers of Christ Jesus, we are called to love like He did. However, what does that mean, exactly? How can we love like Christ Jesus in our everyday lives? In John 13:34-35, Christ Jesus gives us a new commandment:
Loving like Christ Jesus means sacrificially, unconditionally, and extravagantly. It means putting others before ourselves, serving others rather than being served, and showing compassion and kindness to those around us, even when we do not consider them as our friends. For what benefit is it if we show kindness and love to only those who show us love and kindness?
Loving like Christ Jesus is not easy. It requires us to die to ourselves, to take up our cross, and to follow Him. It requires us to be humble, to be patient, and to be forgiving towards others. As we seek to love like Christ Jesus, let us remember that it is not just about what we do, but also about who we are. We are called to be people of love, people of grace, and people of truth.
Let us pray that God would give us the strength and the courage to love like Christ Jesus, and that our lives would be a testament to His love. People should look at our live and be able to give good testimonies about us that we truly love like Christ Jesus loves.
May our love for God and for others be genuine, sincere, and authentic. May our love be a light in the darkness, a hope in the despair, and a joy in the sorrow that we all experience from time to time as humans.

Loving like Christ Jesus is a challenge that requires us to die to ourselves and to live for Him. It is a call to sacrifice, to serve, and to show compassion and kindness to those around us. Let us also note that it is a promise to God that our lives will be filled with purpose, meaning and joy.
As we seek to love like Christ Jesus, let us remember that we are not alone. We have the Holy Spirit guiding us, empowering us, and transforming us into the image of Christ Jesus every step of the way. May our lives be a testament to the power of God’s love, and may our church be a place where people experience the love of God in a real and tangible way.
Let us pray:
Dear God, help us to love like Christ Jesus. Give us the strength and the courage to sacrifice, to serve, and to show compassion and kindness to those around us. Transform us into the image of Christ Jesus, and use us to spread Your love to a world in need.
In Christ Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
